Bennewitz Quartet & Niamh McKenna, flute

Kuvaus

The internationally award-winning Czech Bennewitz Quartet and flutist Niamh McKenna offer an elegant programme that sheds light on the connections between the evening's composers: Beethoven and Reicha were close friends, and it was from Mozart that Beethoven borrowed a theme for one of tonight's pieces. Program: Mozart: Quartet for Flute, Violin, Viola and Violoncello No. 1 in D Major K.285 Reicha: Quintet for Flute and String Quartet in A Major op. 105 Beethoven: String Quartet No. 8 in E Minor op. 59, No. 2 "Razumovsky"
