Ringsevjen and Yuqing Ye - Music on the Brain
Julie Yuqing Ye, piano
,Håvard Ringsevjen, piano
Description
What connections are there between music and the brain? What links are there between music and emotions, language and learning? The pianist Julie Yuqing Ye and brain researcher and pianist Håvard Ringsevjen explore this in a lecture-concert about music and the brain. Piano pieces for both two and four hands. Music by Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Debussy and Scriabin is used to shed light on myths such as the «Mozart effect» and the phenomenon of synaesthesia.
