Festspillene i Bergen 2021 will be held both as a traditional festival and as a digital festival.
The 69th Festspillene i Bergen consists of 76 different events, large and small, and as many as 30 of these will also be filmed and made available digitally.
Festspillene i Bergen was established in 1953 and is Scandinavia's largest and most important festival of its kind. Over the years the festival has established itself as a centre for the northern European arts scene, known for world premieres and new productions in music, opera, theatre and dance.
Festspillene i Bergen stands for energy and joie de vivre, a celebration that is exploratory and fearless, accessible and open. For 15 festival days we introduce a state of exception in the city, with events indoors and out in the urban space, on all of the city's main stages and on our digital channels.
