Glogerfestspillene in Kongsberg is a classical music festival that takes place every year at the end of January. The festival takes its name from the organ builder Gottfried Heinrich Gloger and his instrument from 1765. In historic surroundings, with Kongsberg kirke as the main venue, chamber music, orchestral works and church music are presented. The festival also offers staged performances and invites audiences to talks linked to an annual festival theme. Glogerfestspillene wants to make classical music as accessible as possible to as many people as possible, which is why different venues all over the town are used. Quality, special atmosphere, friendship, history and contrasts are the festival's keywords. Glogerfestspillene offers contrast-filled experiences in the winter darkness through well-known - and lesser-known - classical music.
