Midtåsen kulturfestival
9. jul. - 23. jul.
Sandefjord
Midtåsen is a truly unique cultural arena! In 2023 too, a lovely summer season is on offer, consisting of as many as 35 events.
The tarn at Midtåsen is truly a gem of a cultural arena! It has given us endless inspiration to create ever new experiences for an enthusiastic audience of all ages. Our entire national cultural treasure could have been taken from there, and therefore it is a pleasure to present the concert Nasjonalromantisk tjernetrepertoar og Haugtussa med ballett in these unique surroundings. Norwegian song and music at its very best – like the purest request concerts on lovely summer evenings. The tarn fits neatly into the series of unique venues at Midtåsen alongside the park, the terrace in front of the villa, the sculpture pavilion – and Arnebergstuen itself! We feel privileged to have the opportunity to fill these spaces with the best of classical music – and hope you will let yourselves be tempted to join us!
It is your own imagination that makes the children's festival a very special experience. The performance FANTASIA! takes you on a walk around Midtåsen, and invites you to a masterly meeting between song, music, dance, paintings and nature, where in the end you find yourself dancing together with the most quintessentially Norwegian creatures. By the tarn! And a little further into the forest there is a risk of meeting a fire-breathing dragon. It has a small but very important role in Mozart's fairy tale about The Magic Flute.
Experiences are the best gift one can give – both to oneself and to those you are fond of. Be a CULTURE FRIEND and delight in a new summer with unique experiences at the finest of cultural arenas – Midtåsen!
