Ringerike Sommersymfoni Festival

In 2019 Ringerike Sommersymfoni began producing a Festival alongside the Sommermusikkskolen. The aim of the Festival is to motivate young participants, both those who want to pursue music seriously and those who want music as a lifelong hobby, - and to give Ringerike and the region local music experiences at an international level.
Ringerike Sommersymfoni invites you to concerts with established performers among the best in Norwegian musical life, together with the Alumni performers, who are young professional musicians from the local area and elsewhere in Norway, and who are pursuing performing careers alongside their education.
The programme ranges from solo works, via chamber groups, to chamber orchestra.
Guests at the Festkonserten are participants from the Fordypningsprogrammet who take part in the Festival Orchestra, and younger participants in Kammerstrykerne.
The Alumni performers, who have taken part in Ringerike Sommersymfoni throughout their upbringing, are now students at an international level in Norway, Europe and the USA. In recent summers they have taken part as performers and teachers at Ringerike Sommersymfoni, in interplay with their established professional mentors.
The circle is complete.
