Festspillene i Bergen
22. maj - 5. jun.
Bergen
Festspillene i Bergen was established in 1953 and is the flagship among the Nordic festivals for music and performing arts.
The festival has established itself as a centre of the northern European arts scene, known for world premieres, new productions in music, opera, theatre and dance, and a great diversity in its programme. Unique venues such as the composer Edvard Grieg's own home and the 750-year-old royal seat Håkonshallen form a historic setting around a sparkling festival that gives audiences hundreds of live, exploratory art experiences on dozens of stages indoors and outdoors every year.
Festspillene i Bergen is under the high patronage of H.M. King Harald V.
