På 123
8. nov. - 10. nov.
Oslo
På 123 is an annual classical mini-festival characterised by closeness and depth, communicated across generations and fields by performers of international renown. - An enriching, knowledge-building and inclusive festival!
The idea behind På 123 is to let fantastic artists go in depth on one composer over 3 days. Children and young people also join the voyage of discovery, both as performers and as audience. Engegårdkvartetten is the driving force behind the festival, and the repertoire focuses on the intimate and chamber-musical. The festival has its home in Nynorskens hus. It has been rediscovered as perhaps the best room for chamber music in the capital. Here the resonance is large and the audience close, and not least the central location in the heart of Oslo is ideal.
The festival organiser Engegårdkvartetten is one of Norway's most sought-after chamber music ensembles. The quartet is known for its many bold and fresh interpretations of the classical repertoire, while at the same time emphasising its Scandinavian origins. Engegårdkvartetten has earned international recognition, and has helped to create good, close bonds with several leading international performers. This is reflected in very varied and rich concert programmes.
