Halvorsen musikkfest
23. apr. - 27. apr.
Drammen
Johan Halvorsen's Air Norvégien and Passacaglia are known all over the world - music that has been played on great stages by some of the world's greatest musicians. Halvorsen was born in Drammen and is one of Norway's greatest composers from the golden age of National Romanticism. As well as being a composer, he was also a brilliant violinist and conductor. A tribute to Johan Halvorsen was the starting point for the festival, which first saw the light of day in 2005 and became the source of an exciting, imaginatively programmed festival in the years that followed.
