Thank you so much for all the wonderful occasions we created together through as many as 48 concerts and performances in 2024! And now we really look forward to inviting you to an exciting new cultural year in 2025. It will be a spirited start when already on 12 January we offer the first concert in VINTERKLASSISK The international violinist Henning Kraggerud brings his children Alma, violin – Hector, piano – Franz, cello to the concert Tales from the Magic Forest! It is guaranteed to give us a completely magical start to the new cultural year – with a surplus of musicality, enthusiasm and inspiration! It is very dark outside now – in midwinter – but there is A LUMINOUS DARKNESS! The actor Gjertrud Jynge, Engegårdkvartetten and the visual artist Marianne Heske join forces in this concert performance, which is based on Nobel Prize winner Jon Fosse's Septology. We hear the story of Asle, and chamber music ranging from the old to the modern – the folk and the sacred. One of Marianne Heske's video paintings is the visual companion during the performance, which takes place at Hjertnes kulturhus on Sunday 19 January at 16.00. But it is in the last concert of VinterKlassisk that we really pull out all the stops! Motus Percussion Duo – Magnus Lille Haugen and Ola Sønstebø, who were a great success as Årets talenter! at Midtåsen last summer – have brought along the singer Filip Håkestad in a performance in which they present everything you can imagine – and not imagine – of instruments on which it is possible to create percussion music! And the audience must contribute themselves during the happening at Hjertnes on Saturday 25 January at 15.00!
