HKF is Vestfold's best-kept secret - an international chamber music festival that focuses on strong contact between performers and audience, and among the performers themselves. HKF combines high artistic quality with intimate encounters between musicians and audience, and through this wishes to build interest in and joy in classical music. The festival was first held in 2009 and takes place every June in Horten. Behind the festival is the artistic director Kari Ravnan, cellist in the Oslo-Filharmonien and one of the great driving forces behind the development of chamber music in eastern Norway. The managing director is Arild Askeland.
