Kammerfest i Østfold
22. jun. - 29. jun.
Kammerfest is a festival for a broad section of the population.
We work tirelessly to increase understanding that the term «chamber music» crosses genres and includes every form of expression found in music as an art form. We base our choice of venues on 3 criteria.
Good acoustics,
historical significance for the region and the country,
and venues where nobody expects us to show up.
Our concerts must meet at least one of them! These criteria are clear conditions in our wish to show chamber music in its full breadth.
In addition, we place great emphasis on the original form in which chamber music was presented, namely in people's own homes.
A handful of musicians play great music, in smaller venues, -an intimate and personal setting. There are a handful of these at-home concerts during the festival week.
With the slogan Local roots – International quality we invite some of the best musicians from both Norway and abroad.
