Oslo
Ultima is a festival for boundary-breaking sound experiences. With an ear to the present, the festival embraces innovative music, community and the sound of a world in constant change.
Every September, Ultima takes over Oslo with ten days full of concerts, installations, theatre, opera, dance, film, conversations and more for adults, young people and children alike.
The programme ranges widely from classical contemporary music to noise, improvisation, folk, jazz and rock and unfolds on stages, museums, clubs, streets and other unexpected places in the city.
Ultima is created in collaboration with the members of the Ultimastiftelsen, as well as art and music communities in Norway and internationally. The festival is supported by Oslo kommune and Norsk kulturråd. H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon Magnus is Ultima's high patron.
