Kulturelt Initiativ's celebration of Beethoven's 250th anniversary, TO BEethoven - or not TO BEethoven, is still being celebrated with delight. At last we can receive a visit from the city where Beethoven created most of his works - Vienna. Trio Artio comes as a "gift" from the Cultural Department of the Foreign Ministry in Vienna and is part of our collaboration with the Austrian Embassy. The piano trio Trio Artio - Judith Fliedl, violin, Christine Roider, cello and Johanna Estermann, piano - gives one concert of its own and one concert with piano quartets together with the violist Edda Stix.
How does a brain work that can create spontaneous fantasies like Beethoven's, and how did his deafness affect his creative ability and processes? We get a good insight into that in the lecture-concert Beethoven's Fantasising Brain! with the neurologist Are Brean and the pianist Tor Espen Aspaas.
