Høstfestival 2022 - Kulturelt Initiativ
7. okt. - 8. okt.
Sandefjord
Welcome to Sandefjord's brand-new concert hall - FKA - in the Hjertnes complex. A hall that may well prove to be the city's foremost chamber music hall. In addition, the festival takes you to Den Grønne Sal at Park Hotel - a Viennese hall of the finest kind that suits Schubert's music perfectly.
Christian Ihle Hadland wants to pit three Sch-composers against each other in the first concert of this year's autumn festival – Schubert, Schumann and Shostakovich. An exciting programme to start the weekend. He begins with Shostakovich's 24 Preludes, followed by Schumann's Scenes from Childhood, and ends with the Sonata in G major, D. 894 by the festival's main composer, Franz Schubert. Friday 7 October at 19.00

Den Grønne Sal at Park Hotel can easily give us the feeling of being present in Schubert's home city, Vienna. The setting is truly right for a performance of the monumental String Quartet in G major, D. 887. After a good break, the song that forms the basis of perhaps the best-known of Schubert's string quartets – Death and the Maiden – is performed, before Engegård Quartet presents the whole masterpiece D. 810. Saturday 8 October at 18.00.
