Oslo Internasjonale Kirkemusikkfestival is proud to present the anniversary programme for 2025. This year's programme combines tradition and renewal with the theme «masses and passions in step with the times», in which we explore how church music can shed light on the present day. The festival offers musical masterpieces and new creations performed by world-leading ensembles and artists, while we also put the focus on sustainable productions. We look forward to leading choirs, ensembles and composers such as CONTINUUM, The Sixteen, Vox Clamantis, Il Pomo d’Oro, Det Norske Solistkor, Trio Mediæval, Bent Sørensen and many more! Oslo Internasjonale Kirkemusikkfestival is held annually over ten days in March and since its start in 2001 has established itself as a leading national and international arena for artistic projects of high quality. The festival's concerts take place in churches around the capital, with Oslo domkirke as the main stage. Kirkemusikkfestivalen showcases the diversity of church music, with a repertoire that ranges from the Middle Ages to our own time. In addition to the concerts, the audience is invited to talks, masterclasses and open rehearsals.
