A gift from RingsakerOperaen: operaFEST with live music!
We have postponed Jegerbruden to November 2021. Everyone involved is committed to creating an opera party in Ringsaker 6 – 15 November. There will be a multitude of concerts and performances in restaurants, assembly halls and other suitable places. The finale of the party is Ringsaker Operaskole's "The Wizard of Oz", which was due to premiere in April. The opera choir's "Petite Messe Solennelle" and a piano concert, both of which were planned for spring, have also been added to the opera party.
RO offers this free of charge to the venues and the audience. This is a gift to a loyal audience and to local businesses that need a helping hand after a fall in turnover. It is a thank-you to the municipality, the county council and the Ministry of Culture, whose long-term funding has given RO the chance to become an energetic 40-year-old. We also want to delight our sponsors, some of whom have followed us from the very first years! And not least we are glad that all the volunteers can continue to create operatic joy for stage and auditorium under safe conditions: We continue working on Jegerbruden while we can look forward to live music in November.
We have allowed for the infection control rules possibly changing; only a curfew can stop us. Most events will be planned for smaller groups, and some can be scaled right down to 1 performer with 1 listener. Some items in the programme will involve so many people that we risk cancellation, but we can cope with that! We are in good dialogue with the municipal medical officer.
