Blaker Skanse
Skanseveien 43, Blaker
Blaker skanse served as a defensive fortification in the period 1683-1894 and was built as a defence against the Swedes. Throughout the 1900s the complex was used as a college of arts, design and crafts. The complex is now protected.
Many artists have their workshops and studios on the site. There is also a gallery here.
In recent years Blaker Skanse and Opera til folket have collaborated on opera at Skansen.
