Nordic Black Theatre is a self-owned theatre foundation established in 1992. The foundation produces its own performances, enters into creative collaborative processes with other artists and develops young multicultural performing artists through Nordic Black Express. Nordic Black Theatre first belonged to Parkteateret in Grunerløkka. In 2001 the foundation bought the boat MS Innvik. The theatre boat with its associated stage and bed & breakfast lay in Bjørvika until 2010. In 2011 the foundation bought the old Methodist church at Hollendergata 8 in Grønland, today known as Caféteatret. Nordic Black Theatre is run by Jarl Solberg and Cliff A. Moustache, who today have the day-to-day running of Caféteatret as well as other projects both at home and abroad.
