The Swedish National Orchestra Academy performs music by Grieg and Tchaikovsky under the baton of the well-known conductor Cathrine Winnes. Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony is on the programme as conductor Cathrine Winnes leads the young musicians of the Swedish National Orchestra Academy at the Concert Hall. There are also tasters from Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt suite. The concert opens with music by the avant-gardist Viking Dahl, whose modernist ballet Maison de fous caused a minor scandal in Paris in the 1920s. Hear the orchestra from the two-year international master's programme in symphonic orchestral performance at the Academy of Music and Drama. The programme is run in collaboration with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Gothenburg Opera.
