The Nordic Baroque Band

Description

The Nordic Baroque Band is a Swedish-Danish ensemble that since 2014 has made a name for itself with its lively interpretations of early music. With hand-picked works from the 1500s, 1600s and 1700s, they open the door to a musical world full of contrasts, emotions and stories. During this concert, music from the European Baroque meets works connected with Fredrik Salling – Swedish organ builder, organist and keen traveller around Europe in the latter part of the 1700s. After the interval the concert hall is transformed when the audience is invited to experience baroque music in interplay with dance. Those who wish can follow the dance from their seats, while those who feel like dancing have the chance to step out onto the floor themselves.
