ODD String Trio

Description

"My best works!" wrote the young Ludwig van Beethoven about his three String Trios, Op. 9, in July 1798, and perhaps he could have added "so far", since they paved the way for coming masterpieces such as the string quartets and symphonies. The string trio Trio ODD, active since 2023, now takes on these early, important but somewhat forgotten works. They are three dramatic, emotionally rich string trios, each different from the others, which place high demands on their three performers. With an interest in early music, Trio ODD has also chosen to insert the baroque master J. S. Bach's French Overture as a prelude to the final Beethoven trio. Programme: Bach: French Overture Beethoven: String Trios, Op. 9
