Description

“Young Nordic superduo” The violin and piano duo Dalene/Iivonen has established itself as two of Sweden's most prominent young classical musicians. Johan Dalene won the prestigious Carl Nielsen Competition at the age of 19. In 2022 he was chosen as "Young Artist of the Year" by Gramophone magazine. Now, at the age of 25, he has appeared with a large number of leading orchestras and at prestigious concert venues both at home and around the world. His ability to "make his Stradivarius sing like a master" (Le Monde), combined with his refreshingly honest musicianship and engagement with both musicians and audiences, has won him countless admirers. The pianist Sebastian Iivonen made his debut at the age of ten in Kabalevsky's Third Piano Concerto with Stockholms Ungdomssymfoniorkester at Konserthuset Stockholm and the same year won first prize and a gold medal at the Malmö Piano Festival. Sebastian made his debut in 2024 with Kungliga Filharmonikerna and made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall the same year. He is a co-founder of the concert series Mirage Live at Historiska museet in Stockholm, with the aim of highlighting young musicians and bringing together traditional and contemporary music. In 2025 Sebastian Iivonen was awarded the Anders Wall Music Prize. «Fantasia No. I in G minor» Florence Price «Sonata No. II for violin and piano BB 85» Béla Bartók «Three Romances for violin and piano, Op. 22» Clara Schumann «Introduction & Rondo capriccioso in A minor, Op. 28» Camille Saint-Saëns «Five Melodies for violin and piano, Op. 35bis» Sergei Prokofiev «Violin Sonata No. III, Op. 45» Edvard Grieg 200 kr/member, 250 kr/non-member.
