Description

Welcome to an evening with a range, from the world premiere and solo trombone to Beethoven. Jan Sandström’s symphony sounds for the very first time, followed by trombonist Christian Lindberg in his own work Mandrake in the Corner, written for solo trombone and symphony orchestra. After the intermission, it will be Beethoven’s second symphony, filled with energy, humor and power. The evening begins with the world premiere of Jan Sandström’s Symphony No. 1, a new orchestral work. After that, Christian Lindberg is the soloist in his own work Mandrake in the Corner, where the trombone shows both playfulness and power. Then comes Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2. The concert is recorded to be broadcast at a later date on Swedish Radio P2. Orientation session at 6:25 p.m. in the Public Foyer. Program: Jan Sandström: Symphony No. 1 (world premiere) Christian Lindberg: Mandrake in the Corner Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 2
