The opera about Anders and Emma Zorn received brilliant reviews in the national press as a whole and the audience was overwhelmed. In the summer of 2027 there is thus an opportunity for those of you who missed the performance to experience it. A warm welcome! Anna Larsson wrote her first libretto, directed, and played Old Emma: "The incredibly touching four-year secret correspondence between Anders Zorn and Emma Lamm before they married has been important, as has most of what can be found in the literature about Anders and Emma. The couple is modern, dynamic and in many ways ill-matched, but they probably feel themselves that they were put on earth to make Anders's art and his memory immortal." The composer Matthew Peterson from North Dakota, USA lives in Smedjebacken, Dalarna. Matthew Peterson has already composed two chamber operas, which have been very successful in the USA. His fantastically colourful and nature-lyrical music suits very well to describe the settings we find ourselves in during the opera. Matthew himself says: "The opera follows the couple Anders and Emma Zorn through their relationship from beginning to end. The music is to paint their world, Anders's art and the couple's journeys - both outer and inner - through life." The conductor is Cecilia Martin-Löf. The set designer is Patrik Sörling.
