Gratis adgang Komponisten og performeren Michael Hope stiller i aftenens komposition ’(I Love You) For Instrumental Reasons’ spørgsmål ved den ny kompositionsmusik og musikerens rolle, og med denne koncert giver han sit bud på et svar. Michael Hope udtaler om koncerten: 'The concert explores various questions confronting composers and musicians today; how is it that new music currently maintains such an acute and persistent shortage of creative geniuses? Is it time that composers took a break from engaging in large-scale artistic projects with radical concepts, denouncing society and its institutions, and instead entertained a gentler, more humble focus on self-expression, craft, and the transcendent potential of art? And how does the role of the artist function within a culture and continent increasingly characterised by moribundity and irrelevance?'
