Birds delight – Playful Duets by G. P. Telemann

Beskrivelse

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Musicians: Michala Petri & Bolette Roed, recorders Music by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681–1767) This evening, audiences can experience the lively conversation between two birds that have found their way into the beautiful acoustics of the Church of Our Saviour, where they sing joyfully and delight in each other’s company. Recorder players Michala Petri and Bolette Roed previously performed a duo concert at the festival some years ago, which led to many requests for a repeat performance — and this evening that wish becomes a reality. The programme includes several of Telemann’s imaginative and playful duets, where the tones dancing from the recorders and the hands of the two musicians will intertwine with the flight of birds in the sky. “Birds Delight” is a concert that captures the beautiful balance between playfulness and seriousness that emerges between two kindred spirits, where the musical conversation continuously inspires new ideas, and phrases effortlessly and elegantly weave into one another. This is a free concert.
