In the wind quintet V Coloris different cultures and nationalities meet and this inspired them to choose a name referring to richness of coulours. They like to challenge themselves in various genres and styles – part of their focus is on folk and traditional music – and they make their own arrangements of carefully selected pieces suitable for their thematic concerts. In 2020 V Coloris released the album Dinu Lipatti – Complete Work for Wind Instruments complemented by a documentary and new edition of the sheet music. That year also featured musical meetings with conductor Ádám Fischer, composer Hans Abrahamsen, and The Danish String Quartet among others on the latter’s festival DSQ Festival in November. In 2021 so far three composers have written pieces for V Coloris who are currently in the semifinals of the 2021 Victor Elmaleh Virtual Competition. The next couple of albums and the launching of their own festival are some of the bigger projects to be realized.
