Organ Baroque Christmas

Description

The Musiikkitalo organ invites listeners to a Christmas banquet featuring a buffet of Johann Sebastian Bach, with a side of his colleagues George Friderick Handel and Tomaso Albinoni. Organ solos and improvisations bring light to the winter darkness. Soprano arias proclaim the joyous tidings of Christmas, a brilliant trumpet soars above all. And what would Christmas be without a singalong? The entire audience is welcome to join in as we sing familiar Christmas carols. Program: Bach: Praeludium et Fuge C-duuri, BWV 547 Bach: Canonische Veränderungen über Vom Himmel Hoch, BWV 769a Albinoni: Concerto B Flat Major, Op.7 No. 3 Händel: Rejoice, rejoice (Messiah) Bach: Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, BWV 659 Bach: Cantata BWV 51, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen Bach: Pièce d'Orgue (Fantasia) G-duuri, BWV 572
