Description

Arvo Pärt, Purcell, Rameu, Bach, Dowland m.m. Konserten er støttet av Kulturdirektoratet / Norsk Kulturfond In the final concert in the Ekho concert series, there will be baroque sighs, mystical minimalism and works and improvisations by the performers themselves. Welcome to a special experience in the atmospheric Emanuel Vigeland Museum with 20 seconds of natural reverberation. All the music has been specially selected to explore the beautiful sound there. At the concert you will hear music by Arvo Pärt, Purcell, Rameu, Bach, Dowland and more. Inga Gorset brings the violin, Gunnhild Tønder brings the harpsichord and Eira Huse brings the voice. We recommend that you bring plenty of clothes, and of course we'll also be handing out blankets as well, and light som candles. Welcome to a concert where there is room and reflection for all emotions, and where the warmth of the people and the music overcomes the darkness and cold of autumn. Thank you to the Norwegian Directorate for Culture for supporting this season, and thanks also to previous support from the Norwegian Society of Composers, the City of Oslo and the Norwegian Composers' Society. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, both through the pandemic and now in recent years. Not least, thank you to the Emanuel Vigeland Museum for all the help and goodwill you have contributed to this project. We are proud to have invited several of Norway's most talented musicians over the years, including Håkon Kornstad, Sandra Lied Haga, Marthe Lea, Linnéa Casserly, Jadran Duncumb, Tuva Færden, Emil Duncumb, Amalie Duesund, Christian Krogvold Lundquist, Uno Vesje, Gunnhild Tønder, Inga Gorset, Admir Korjenic, Catherine Derrick and Espen Wensaas. Ekho may also appear as an echo in the future, in Emanuel Vigeland or elsewhere. We want to say thank you to everyone who has joined us on this last evening. Thank you for exploring Emanuel Vigeland's acoustics with us. It has been an adventure! The concert is supported by Kulturdirektoratet / Norsk Kulturfond
