The Joy and Magic of the Advent Calendar - Door by Door

Description

Vesta Kor invites you to an atmospheric and magical Christmas concert on the first Sunday of Advent. This year's concert is titled «Julekalenderens glede og magi - luke for luke», and the audience is taken on a musical journey through Advent. The concert builds on the anticipation, the excitement and the joy of opening a new door every day until Christmas Eve. Behind the concert's musical doors lies music from well-known Advent calendar series such as Snøfall, Stjernestøv and Kristianias magiske tivolitheater, as well as songs from well-known Christmas films and traditional Christmas songs. Through storytelling, musical surprises and staged elements the doors are opened one by one and tied together into a complete Christmas experience for children and adults alike. On stage is the whole of Vesta Kor: the adult choir Ensemble di Nuovo and the children's choirs Tutti and Mini Tutti. Together with Strykekvartetten Marcato and a rich instrumental ensemble, Sandefjord kirke is filled with choral singing and living stories.
