Organ Concert with Benjamin Alard
Benjamin Alard
Description
The sound of the Gloger organ in all its glory! The Gloger organ is the heart of the festival, and every year we invite a very special musician to measure strength with this fantastic instrument. This year the French organist and harpsichordist Benjamin Alard comes to Kongsberg. Alard is a specialist in early music and is passionate about Bach. For the Glogerfestspillene, Alard brings a programme that takes us back to the sound world of the Baroque. The programme includes two works that were only recently discovered and confirmed as compositions by Bach, as late as 2025. Programme: Bach / Chaconne in D minor BWV 1178 Buxtehude / Passacaglia in D minor BuxWV 161 Bach / Fantasia in G major BWV 571 Pachelbel / Chaconne in D minor Pachelbel / Fantasia in G minor Bach / Chaconne in G minor BWV 1179 Buxtehude / Prelude, Fugue & Chaconne in C major BuxWV 137 Graff / Chaconne in F major Raison / Christe, Trio en Passacaille (from Messe du deuxième ton) Bach / Passacaglia in C minor BWV 582
