Carmen 2027

,Victoria Bomann-Larsen
Description
In summer 2027 it is none other than Bizet's "Carmen" that takes over Fredriksten festning. Bizet's Carmen is known for its catchy and timeless music - with the Toreador aria and several of the most recognisable arias in operatic history. The story of the free, proud and untameable Carmen has fascinated audiences for over 140 years, and the opera's combination of love, jealousy and fateful drama makes it one of the most performed works in the world. This time the number of performances is increased to four, spread over two weekends – 11, 12, 18 and 19 June 2027. Carmen is performed in Norwegian. The musical director is Martin H. Toft, and the director is Victoria Bomann-Larsen. Tickets will be released during November 2026! Programme: Bizet / Carmen
