Edvard Munch Ensemble
ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE
Inspired by the cultural currents of the past and by the pulsating cultural life of our own generation, Edvard Munch Ensemble draws audiences into a new and different concert experience. EMBLE performs a large repertoire for various combinations of its five members and thereby creates its own musical universe. In each concert performance a diversity of art forms such as literature, visual art and design, combined with the performers' full presence on stage, creates a new world of communication where only the imagination sets the limits.
EMBLE's first concept, Myter, was launched in autumn 2015, with a tour in January and February 2016. In summer 2016 the ensemble performed the programme Lunar Landscapes at Valdres Sommersymfoni, and in the transition between October and November 2016 EMBLE is carrying out the project Under Solen. As always, there will also be concerts and presentations at schools of music and arts, upper secondary schools and universities as part of the ensemble's commitment to inspiring coming generations and creating a new cultural meeting place.
