UIA - Fakultet for kunstfag
Institutt for klassisk musikk og musikkpedagogikk trains the musicians and music educators of the future. The department works especially with communicating the classical music tradition, but also trains music teachers and music educators who work within many genres. The department offers studies in classical music performance at both bachelor's and master's level, a one-year study programme in music, and music as an elective in primary school teacher education. In addition we are part of the faculty's PhD programme and are active in academic, artistic and teaching-based research alike.
