Ringerike Sommersymfoni has run a Summer Music School for children and young people since 1997 and a Festival since 2109. The festival collaborates on professional concerts with Bønsnes Sommerfestival, which is celebrating 10 years, and Kistefos museum, which is celebrating 10 years!
Ringerike Sommersymfoni Festival invites you to concerts with established professional performers from Norway and abroad, together with the Alumni performers (former participants), who are young professional musicians in the early stages of their careers, from the local area and elsewhere in Norway.
The Alumni performers have taken part in Ringerike Sommersymfoni throughout their childhood and youth, and have later studied music at colleges and universities in Norway, Europe and the USA. They take part as performers and teachers at Ringerike Sommersymfoni, working alongside their established professional mentors. The circle is complete.
The festival contributes to a vibrant and lively cultural community in the Ringerike region
with professional classical music in a variety of venues, for children and young people, adults and the elderly in care institutions.
