Leif Ove Andsnes has been through the concerts in October.

We are proud to launch the concert guide of the month on Live Klassisk, and first out is none other than Leif Ove Andsnes. He has looked through the calendar of classical concerts in Norway in October, and shares his reflections on some of the concerts and music we have to look forward to.
We meet Leif Ove in a video call from Copenhagen in the middle of his tour with the violinist Christian Tetzlaff. For the next chance to hear him in Norway he needs a little help working it out, but the calendar tells us that we will meet him at the Opera in Oslo on 30 November in a piano-four-hands programme together with Bertrand Chamayou. A record also comes out that same day with Schubert’s music for piano four hands - written in the composer’s final year of life.
Leif Ove states that there are really many fine concerts in October, and not least that so many good and thoughtful concert programmes are being made. In a diversity of concerts with everything from the traditional concert forms to concerts that connect art forms and communicate in a different way. Not least we can clearly see that classical music is alive and well - we are not dying out, after all!
