Christmas Spirit with Lise Davidsen

Description

Together with one of the world's foremost opera singers, Lise Davidsen, Stavanger Symfoniorkester invites you to a grand Christmas concert in DNB Arena. Together with guest artist Leif Ove Andsnes, Solistkoret Ung and conductor Grete Pedersen, Lise Davidsen and Stavanger Symfoniorkester perform familiar and beloved Christmas classics in a concert that marks the start of the Christmas season in Stavanger. The foundation for this collaboration was laid when we invited audiences to Christmas concerts with Lise Davidsen in 2023. We are very happy to welcome her back for a new collaboration with Stavanger Symfoniorkester. This will be a very special evening, where the audience gets to experience some of Norway's foremost musicians and singers gathered on one stage. In recent years Lise Davidsen has established herself as one of the most sought-after sopranos internationally, with regular appearances at, among others, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House and the Wiener Staatsoper. Critics around the world describe her as a voice in a class of its own. Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she won the Operalia, the Queen Sonja competition and the Hans Gabor Belvedere competition. Since then she has had great success at the world's leading opera stages and concert halls, including the BBC Proms and concerts at Carnegie Hall and in Vienna.
