The 1984 film Amadeus has become a film that many music lovers hold close to their hearts. In the film we follow the life of the genius Mozart, from his childhood years until he lies on his deathbed. The film has also met with criticism, among other things for overplaying, or constructing, a rivalry between Salieri and Mozart. Despite speculative portrayals of the relationship, the film has reached a broad audience, and delighted people far beyond the usual classical music circles.
Now that audience can look forward to a new series with the same theme. The series "Amadeus" arrives on Netflix later in December. The series will deal with the period in Mozart's life when he was 25 and arrives in Vienna. New directors, new actors, but within the same landscape.
We are really looking forward to watching it!
