Opera til folket welcomes you to the season opening of Lørdagsopera at Gamle Raadhus Scene. We promise high quality and good spirits, high notes, sorrow and drama in the best operatic style. The singers present for themselves what they sing. There will be well-known and beloved arias and duets, and sometimes there will be a theme running through the performance or an excerpt from an opera.
This year's season opening is with IMPROOPERA - Norway's first improv company consisting exclusively of opera singers!
At a performance with IMPROOPERA you will see opera singers sing and act within different genres from the world of classical music, accompanied by a skilled improvising pianist. The performers will improvise their way through a series of scenarios and tasks, led by the group leader/conductor.
