Description
From the 1700s to a world premiere. In the concert conducted by Magnus Fryklund, Albert Schnelzer's first commissioned work for the Wermland Opera orchestra is presented. This concert, which unites the old and the entirely new, is conducted by Magnus Fryklund. It is also now that Albert Schnelzer's first commissioned work for the Wermland Opera orchestra receives its world premiere. Schnelzer has written the trumpet concerto Frozen Light for the soloist Tine Thing Helseth. It is a concerto in three movements written during a long winter and connected to the frosty and beautiful emotional experience of cold, dry air and glittering snow. The concert opens with one of Anna Clyne's most frequently played orchestral pieces, Sound and Fury, inspired by the dramatic contrast between order and chaos in Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 60. After the interval we hear Haydn's Symphony No. 101, The Clock, composed in 1793-94. Part 3 in the Stora konsertserien. Programme: Anna Clyne: Sound and Fury Albert Schnelzer: Frozen Light, trumpet concerto (world premiere) Joseph Haydn: Symphony No. 101 in D major "The Clock"
Programme:Anna Clyne · Albert Schnelzer · Joseph Haydn
