Concert with AKELA String Quartet

Description

At this concert AKELA play a selection of Danish songs arranged for string quartet by Philip Faber. After that we move on to Sibelius's string quartet in D minor, a work of great emotional range. With Maddalena Sirmen we shift to a lighter and more elegant world with her string quartet No. 2. The concert ends with Bartók's string quartet No. 2, where the expression becomes more raw and angular. AKELA consists of Clara Glasdam and Gustav Ranum on violin, Kirsten Wilbrandt Kjær on viola and Oskar Reuben Friis-Hansen on cello. The quartet was formed at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium in 2019 and received the Leonie Sonning Talent Prize in 2024. The doors to the building open at 14.00, and the doors to the hall open at 14.30. Price: 100 kr. + fee for members of Køge Klassisk and 200 kr. + fee for non-members. Young people under 30 attend free of charge, but must have a youth ticket.
