Notes for Reflection: On Grief
Vokalkvintetten FRIGG
Description
This afternoon - in connection with All Saints - Toner til eftertanke (Notes for Reflection) is marked by grief. We all experience grief in many shades during our lives. The loss of people we care about, loss of opportunities and skills, loss of time and memory. This afternoon we do not merely make room for grief, but invite it into the church and let it fill the space and our hearts. Grief and love go hand in hand, and this evening holds it all. There will be both music by the vocal quintet FRIGG and readings. Grief is welcome. And you are welcome. 16-17: Coffee and home-baked cake in Vestkirken 17-18: Toner til eftertanke The event is free and does not require registration. FRIGG is a vocal quintet consisting of Signe Rasmussen, Sandra Sibelle, Oscar Estrela-Schøtt, Søren Brøndum Nilsson and Morten Lund Kristensen. Drawing on vocal music from all over the world, the ensemble moves freely between genres and traditions - from Nordic sounds and Ukrainian folk tunes to Georgian harmonies and Bulgarian dissonances, as well as classical and modern works. FRIGG's sound is marked by transcendent harmonies, a distinctive musical language and a musical expression that holds both primal force and fragility. With the voice as their only instrument, the quintet invites the audience into a living and present sound world. Programme: 14-16: Walk in Pederstrup - see more here
