Concert with the String Quartet AKELA and Aarhus Lungekor
Aarhus Lungekor
Description
AKELA and Aarhus Lungekor Do you also love Den blå anemone, Solen er så rød, mor and Danmark nu blunder den lyse nat? The four members of AKELA have often missed the opportunity to listen to Danish songs in a classical, instrumental format. Without words, but with all the closeness and depth the songs hold. That is why the composer Phillip Faber has created unique arrangements of 12 songs for AKELA, where the quartet's musical depth brings renewed intensity, presence and richness of sound to the familiar material. The aim is to cast new light on the Danish song treasury by interpreting well-known songs through the string quartet's lively expression and nuanced musical language. For this concert the string quartet AKELA has the pleasure of sharing the stage with Aarhus Lungekor. Read more about Lungeforeningen's work with lung choirs. In addition to contributions from both AKELA and the choir, the concert also offers community singing.
