Concert with Sønderjysk Pigekor

Description

Concert with Sønderjysk Pigekor in Ribe Domkirke. Sønderjysk Pigekor was founded in 1994 and today consists of about 130 members aged 3-20. The choir has toured all over the world and achieved several fine placings in competitions in Denmark and abroad. Thus it won the winner's prize at Sangerdysten in 2007, a silver medal in the Champions Competition at the World Choir Games in China in 2010 and two gold medals at the International Johannes Brahms Choir Festival and Competition in Germany in 2017. The choir often collaborates with other ensembles, for example the FolkBALTICA Ensemblet, Sankt Annæ Pigekor and the band Efterklang, and has also been booked several times for concerts by the Royal Household. Mette Rasmussen has led Sønderjysk Pigekor since 1997. The concert programme presents the choir's many songs and sounds.
