Description

At Musikkens Hus it has gradually become something of a tradition for Christmas to be sung in by Oslo Gospel Choir. So once again this year we let the peace of Christmas settle as you make yourself comfortable in the red seats of the Concert Hall and let the sweet gospel music wash over you. For nothing can bring the joy of Christmas all the way to your toes and a smile all the way to your ears like gospel music. Come and take part in this year's Christmas concert with Oslo Gospel Choir. Oslo Gospel Choir is without doubt one of Europe's very best gospel choirs. Over the years the choir's intoxicating, warm sea of voices has appeared on recordings with national and international artists. Among other things they have released the album ”Live” with Sissel Kyrkjebø and are featured on Stig Rossen's album ”Julelys”. Oslo Gospel Choir sets the standard within the genre and adds a completely unique Scandinavian sound and charm. The choir is still led by Tore W. Aas, who also started the choir back in 1988, and who wrote the Christmas song En stjerne skinner i natt, which the choir released on the album ”Tusen Julelys” in 1992.
