Christmas Concert with the Icelandic Choir Árelía

Description

Experience an atmospheric concert with beautiful Icelandic Christmas songs, Nordic folk music and selected Christmas songs from other countries – all sung in Icelandic. In the special acoustics of Aalborg Domkirke the audience will be led into a Nordic winter world filled with warm sonorities, poetic texts and a reflective Christmas mood. The concert is an ideal chance to experience the Icelandic Christmas tradition and let calm settle in the middle of Advent. Árelía – formerly known as Islændingekoret i Aarhus – consists of around 20 singers with a special love for the Icelandic singing tradition. The choir is conducted by Gunnar Sigfússon.
