For the very first time, Syng! Syng! Syng! moves into the Concert Hall. The last Syng! Syng! Syng! concert of the year will be a very special Christmas edition. This evening we welcome Frida Brygmann as soloist, as she creates an atmospheric Christmas concert together with Line Groth, the band and the audience. Frida Brygmann is known, among other things, for her voice on the Christmas song Tinka – a number we look forward to singing together this evening. Please note that the audience is divided into voice groups, so you may need to change seats at the start of the event. You are very welcome to book a seat now in the voice group you prefer: Men (tenor/bass): The middle of the hall Sopranos: The right side of the hall, when facing the stage Altos: The left side of the hall, when facing the stage Women’s voices are distributed evenly on each side of the hall. If you are in doubt, simply book a seat and we will help you on the day. Under the heading Syng! Syng! Syng! we invite you to a concert where it is the audience themselves who perform. Under the skilled direction of singing instructor Line Groth, you learn one of the great pop songs of our time, and after a couple of hours we are ready to sing the song together. All participants meet at 19 with the singing instructor, Line Groth, who over the next approx. two hours teaches us the choir arrangement of the day – which is written for the purpose and adapted to the level. The repertoire is one of the great pop hits of our time – often by Danish artists. Approximately halfway through there is a break, after which we sing another song (a well-known pop hit) – as a singalong – just to clear our ears. The evening ends with a bang of a concert, which is recorded on video and sent to all participants and put online, so you can share it with family, friends and fans. Throughout, a professional band takes part, backing up the singers, lifting the energy and making it all sound like a million. The concert is for everyone – whether you sing in tune, off key or just really loudly. About Syng! Syng! Syng! and Line Groth Line Groth teaches choral conducting and arranging at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, from which she herself graduated with a specialisation in rhythmic singing and choral conducting. She is one of the country’s most sought-after workshop instructors in rhythmic choir and vocal music, and she is known as a committed and inspiring teacher. On the international choral scene she is also a familiar name and has taught choral singers and conductors from all over Europe as well as the USA, Israel, Greenland and Taiwan. For more than ten years Line was a singer and co-leader in the world-famous rhythmic choir Vocal Line, which has performed with, among others, the Rolling Stones and the vocal artist Bobby McFerrin, and she still arranges for the choir. The Syng! Syng! Syng! concept began at Musikhuset Aarhus.
