Voices of the Flute

Description

For this concert, our own flautists Hilde and Kristín present a chamber music programme that revolves around time, sound and musical storytelling. With the flute as the common thread, the concert moves from the intimate and contemplative to the virtuosic and sparkling, in a meeting of French tonal poetry, Romantic chamber music and a singing quality that ties the programme together. Kristín and Hilde know each other from their bachelor's and master's studies at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen, and today they both study in the soloist class: Kristín at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus and Hilde at Syddansk Musikkonservatorium in Odense. Both make their debuts at the end of 2025/the beginning of 2026. As helpers at Østerbro Koncertforening, they have been looking forward to standing on the stage and showing the association's audience their musical side. The programme is made up of some of their own favourite works and features several different chamber music line-ups, together with piano, violin and cello
