Memorial Concert for Th. Laub

Description

A memorial concert for the hymn composer Thomas Laub on the 100th anniversary of his death on 4 February 1927. Thomas Laub is one of Denmark's greatest figures in church music. He served as organist at Holmens Kirke for 34 years, from 1891 to 1925, and wrote over 100 hymn melodies that we still sing today. At Holmens Kirke we wish to remember and honour Thomas Laub, in words and music, for the treasury of songs and hymns he left behind. Narration by naval dean Peter Thyssen, chairman of Samfundet Dansk Kirkesang. A reception follows, to which everyone is invited. Programme: Thomas Laub / Hymns and songs
